After earning her Juris Doctor degree with high honors from the University of Notre Dame Law School, Gabriela A. Teodorescu embarked on a multifaceted professional career in the law that has been distinguished by both versatility and depth. She has advised and represented for-profit businesses, non-profit entities, the US government, individuals, and families across multiple practice areas since 2003.

Ms. Teodorescu has represented and advised domestic and global corporate clients as an associate of several multinational law firms.
At the beginning of her career, Ms. Teodorescu specialized in complex commercial litigation focusing on intellectual property disputes and private international law with the Los Angeles office of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey (now Squire Patton Boggs).
Interested in growing her understanding of cross-border transactions outside of a litigation context, Gabriela joined the San Francisco office of Baker McKenzie where she advised global technology clients on tax, labor, securities, and data privacy matters.
During her time at Notre Dame Law, Ms. Teodorescu took advantage of summer recesses by exploring diverse practices and areas of the law. As a summer associate in the Los Angeles office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, she gained insight into both litigation and transactional practices by assisting with banking and financing deals, labor and employment disputes, and tax matters arising in the context of corporate transactions.
Ms. Teodorescu has provided comprehensive advice for individuals, families and family businesses, designing legal structures to protect their legacies and to prepare for their futures.
Ms. Teodorescu transferred her legal skills to the practice of estate planning in a highly-regarded small firm alongside partners with decades of experience in this specialization. The firm, now dissolved due to retirement, served clients who came from diverse financial backgrounds and who benefitted from highly personalized strategies formulated to address matters such as wealth transfer, asset protection, fiduciary management, family business succession, probate avoidance, Medicaid planning, and federal and state tax considerations.
Ms. Teodorescu has served the USA as a federal civil prosecutor.
Ready to take on the role of a public servant while exploring a new area of the law, Ms. Teodorescu returned to a trial and appellate practice by prosecuting civil labor charges in administrative and federal courts on behalf of the US government as an attorney with the National Labor Relations Board. In her role, she also facilitated pre-Complaint settlement negotiations between labor unions and employers.
Ms. Teodorescu has collaborated as a legal professional with non-profit organizations dedicated to improving healthcare for all.
Having offered extensive pro bono legal services throughout her legal career, Ms. Teodorescu eventually shifted gears from the for-profit sector in order to create and develop the first Healthcare-Legal Partnership in southern Oregon through funding provided by Rogue Community Health. In that endeavor, she addressed social determinants of health for rural communities through a collaboration between attorneys and medical professionals during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Recognizing the systemic challenges plaguing publicly-funded healthcare, Ms. Teodorescu accepted the role of Counsel for Oregon’s largest coordinated care organization where she provided in-house legal services until 2025.
Ms. Teodorescu has freely served clients from a wide demographic in the pursuit of a more just society.
Since the moment she became a licensed attorney, Ms. Teodorescu has continually served clients who could not financially access effective legal services yet whose lives would be significantly and positively impacted by legal solutions.

After focusing on Comparative Law in London with Notre Dame’s Concannon Programme in International Law, studying under the tutelage of professors from Oxford and Cambridge, she received her Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 2003.
Ms. Teodorescu also holds a Master’s Degree summa cum laude in Education from Claremont Graduate University. She capitalizes on her experience as a teacher and her knowledge in pedagogy to benefit her clients. Growing up with the Romanian last name Teodorescu in the USA, Ms. Teodorescu heard countless variations of her surname. Her favorite version is the nickname her playmates came up with during elementary school: “To-the-Rescue!” Little did those schoolchildren know that Ms. Teodorescu would find herself naturally driven to finding solutions for the problems of others through the practice of law.
Teodorescu means “child of Teodor” (or Theodore), much like the Anglo-Norman name Johnson means “child of John” and the Gaelic name McWilliam means “child of William.” Many cultures follow the same custom of using the surname to indicate paternal lineage.
In the English language, TotheRescue is the most fun of the similar-sounding variations of Teodorescu and, in Ms. Teodorescu’s case, certainly the most apt.
